Audio transcription happens on your Mac. Coaching sends text to an AI provider. Here is how those pieces fit together.
Audio is transcribed on your Mac
Sussur uses macOS permissions to capture audio and runs speech-to-text locally. A meeting bot does not need to join your call. Audio is not uploaded for cloud transcription.
AI coaching uses transcript text
The app sends transcript text and relevant context through OpenRouter to generate coaching and reports. Managed access is provisioned for your account. Local transcription does not make cloud coaching an offline feature.
Call history is stored locally
Transcripts, reports, and saved session material are stored on your Mac. Recording and capture settings control what is kept. Protect access to your Mac and review those settings before a sensitive call.
Your account is separate from call history
Sussur uses your email for sign-in and keeps account and credit-usage records. Local call storage does not mean that Sussur has no server-side account data.
Before your call
Check the requirements for your conversation.
Review your organization's rules and the permissions needed from participants. Check generated summaries before sharing them. AI output can contain mistakes.
